It's a new year, which means that it is time for a new calendar. If you are one of the people who still prefer a good old physical calendar instead of an app, then the Bob Moog Foundation has got you covered. Their brand new 2020 calendar is now available and it continues the trend of their past calendars which all celebrated the different aspects of the Moog legacy.
The new calendar is titled The 50th Anniversary of the Birth of the Minimoog and appropriately it traces the history of this iconic synthesizer all the way from the creation of its prototype to its release and even beyond. As expected, this calendar features plenty of rare and historical images that are related to the Minimoog. The prototype models that are featured will be of particular interest to Moog fans. Along with these photos, the calendar also explores the technical evolution from one prototype to the next. This is thanks to first-hand accounts from Bill Hemsath and Jim Scott, two of the original Minimoog engineers.
The calendar is now available from the Bob Moog Foundation website at a price of $20. The profit generated through the sale of this calendar will be used on their hallmark projects, such as Dr. Bob's SoundSchool, the Moogseum as well as the preservation of the Bob Moog Foundation Archives.
