A number of conventions had to be canceled or postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020, and this trend has continued in 2021. Some were able to move their events into the online space, while others have opted to wait things out. The latest expo to announce that their event has been postponed until 2022 is Synthplex, the "All Things Synthesizer" electronic music festival and gear expo.

Synthplex, which promised trade shows, various seminars, maser sessions, and keynote speeches with industry legends, DIY synth building workshops, concerts, and much more, will now only be held in 2022. This is sure to disappoint many as the expo was also postponed last year. It was initially set to occur during March of 2020, before being shifted to October and finally delayed until this year. Now, in a similar turn of events, Synthplex posted on their social media channels that due to CDC updates, restrictions, and the rapid spread of the Delta, Gamma, Lambda variants, the expo is being postponed again.

Synthplex held its inaugural event in 2019, and only time will tell if the situation has been improved enough in 2022 for the expo to resume finally. For more information about what to expect at Synthplex 2022, check out the official website.
