Win A Signed Minimoog Model D Synth in Bob Moog Foundation Raffle

Post date:

After their 2020 Trifecta Raffle, the Bob Moog Foundation is back this year to make one synth enthusiast very happy with their 15th Anniversary Synth Raffle. The purpose of the raffle is to make the beginning of the Bob Moog Foundation celebrating 15 years of preserving Dr. Moog's legacy. The prize for this year's raffle is a fully restored vintage, archetypal Minimoog Model D synthesizer, which is highly coveted in its own right. However, the synth in question, serial number 6572, is also signed by the late Bob Moog himself, making it even more desirable for fans.

According to the Foundation, the vintage Minimoog was built at Moog Music's Williamsville, NY factory somewhere in the mid-1970s. Its value is estimated at more than $9,000, and the inclusion of Bob Moog's iconic signature will no doubt cause this number to continue rising in the future. The Minimoog Model D is in excellent technical and physical condition after being meticulously restored by Wes Taggart of Analogics, who is a venerated synthesizer technician.

The funds raised during the raffle will also be put to good use. The Bob Moog Foundation plans to use the money to grow Dr. Bob's SoundSchool, a major educational project. It is already inspiring over 3,000 elementary school students per year through the science of sound, and the Foundation believes it will continue to grow nationwide in 2022. In addition, the raffle will also be used to support the Moogseum, which is located in Asheville, NC. After opening in late May of 2019, the immersive, experiential facility has already welcomed tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world.

Raffle tickets, which start at $20 for one ticket, can be bought HERE and are limited to 5,000 tickets. The 15th Anniversary Minimoog Raffle is open internationally until 11:59 pm EDT on August 30, 2021, or until all the tickets are sold, whichever comes first. Raffle tickets can also be bought in batches of six, fourteen, and forty at discounted prices.
