I quite enjoy my reverse mK, that nord on the other hand just isn't doing it for me. :?

I think the opposite. The black keys just don't fit into the green/brown colour of the MK. But that's a matter of taste I guess.

Totally agreed, the MK needs higher contrast to get away with the reversed keys, the brown and green are too earthy.

I think the NL really should have been given aftertouch for a special edition, I can't believe it still doesn't have it.

And then planted it in the forest and never spoken of it again.

Or they could have made the body white or black, that would have been quite fantastic. They should have just put in a little bit more effort...

Yes, anything but that horrible stomach-wrenching red colour. It makes me sick. I mean it.

Well...nords have sorta been Ferrari red since day 1...I'm just upset they didn't make any additions other than the reverse keys. I mean if you're going to charge me more, make it worth my while. Add aftertouch for the love of God....or even a simple sequencer and effects or something.

Sure is. I like the overall Clavia look though - I usually can't stand gaudy colours but it just works with the Nord.

I think it looks good, but until I expand my expendable income a great deal, I will never pay a cent more for the exact same machine with a different paint job (this, the P 08 signature, etc etc). Not saying I think they're bad products, just that they are clearly made for someone other than me.

I'm a shallow person, I know, but that's exactly the way I felt about the Access Virus 'Classic' desktop unit I had. I couldn't stand looking at it, so I striped it off with tape and was going to paint it, but changed my mind and sold it before possibly wrecking it.

About the new NL - I think it would have worked better if the board was all red - without that grey panel surrounding the knobs.
It may not be much news, but at least it means the NL2X should be sticking around for a while.
