They aren't aiming this at Wakeman wannabes, that's for sure :ugeek:
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Umm it's got midi and cv in = more keys + As I said in the Namm2012 thread I would hold on as the name is "mini" brute could very well imply a bigger brute ?

As a controller or live instrument, I can't go less than 49 keys.
But 25 is so small, I think of it as a sound module with bonus keys.

Also, I dunno about you guys but .. I prefer 1 OSC synths.
Especially in a multi-tracking environment.

Well I don't know about the Mega workstation types , but this Namm so far has been fairly giving

The Nord Drum looks amazing !
Arturia MiniBrute is another contender ( and helper to longevity ) to the recent revival of the Analog Mono
Akai seam to be on the ball with the Max ( i'm sure there will be a 61/88 ) and the MPC Fly ipad app I will undoubtably buy as long as it has even half the MPC 2000's capabilities .

And we haven't even really started yet ? Not that there needs to be more already looks like I'm a couple grand in as is :?

It tickles me that the people who buy synths and sell them a week later are complaining about this. Nevermind that it has the VCO you people have been mewling over for years now...

Also, MIDI cables.

Um... $500 for a analog monosynth that looks dope from the get go? My wallet pretty much has no say in the matter (but I should probably hear that demo video first).

tallowwaters wrote:Nevermind that it has the VCO you people have been mewling over for years now...

Yeah, ONE stinking VCO

p.s. love the sine-wave option on the sub-osc.. Pretty sure the yamaha CS-series were the only other synths to have this. Works really well with BP/HP sounds.

i posted this on reddit and some guy ridiculed me for comparing it to the minitaur and saying it's not fair to compare all analog synths under $1000. WHAT? the point of comparing things is that you can see the difference-- a 600 dollar moog to a 550/500 analog monosynth is as fair as comparisons go. really awesome price point on that synth, btw...
