Hehe yeah, an editor would probably be easy to make if the Andy used usual 0-127 midi range, but all the parameters are that weird NRPN format that goes from 0-65000-something. That's why you fail if you try to control filter cutoff with cubase via MIDI.

^ Controlling the A6 via Midi CC: use Midi CC A-H as modulation source in the modulation matrix. :thumbright:

The Ion would be everyone's dream MIDI controller, with it's 32 endless decoder knobs on the front panel. The first OS version didn't even have Midi CC control. Then after more than a year of clamoring on the Alesis Ion yahoo group, we got a MIDI CC update. And some dumbass intern DSP programmer thought MIDI CC was from 17-117 instead of 0-127. So there was no way to fully close or fully open the filter or other parameters. And that was the last update it ever got :(
