Tascam DP32SD---new model?

Postby meatballfulton » Mon Mar 03, 2014 1:46 pm

FWIW:

I've seen ads for a DP32SD at Musician's Friend, it looks like the DP32 but the photos do show "SD" on the front panel. The MIDI ports are gone  It is not on the Tascam website yet.

Current street price is $550. DP32 is still selling for $600 (DP24 for $500) but my guess is they are about to be discontinued.

The DP24 and DP32 are the last consumer digital multitrackers still available that support MIDI.

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

I saw that model (the DP32SD) at Musician's Friend as well. Apparently it is a "one off" made exclusively for MF by Tascam. I does not have MIDI (as you folks have noted). BUT...the regular DP32/DP24 have NOT been discontinued (nor replaced by the DP32SD) and will be back in stock soon. Just wanted to give you folks the heads up. Cheers.
