Just because you hadn't heard of it doesn't mean it wasn't around ;)

i must be the only person on the forum not excited about yet another little phatty
i imagine a smt largely discrete oddy will have a longer lifetime than the moog, too

And here I was trying to come up with some pun about fish and Arp's, when I realized KARP refers to the Korg Arp Odyssey thingie. It just seems cod to me.

Surely it's a different beast. They as different as any moog synth against another. For a start, the interface couldn't be more different, literally, opposite. And to my ears, albeit not firsthand they have individual sounds.
It does not even say Phatty on it, does it?
I have never been tempted by a phatty (well, maybe a few times while drunk) but this is leagues ahead.

is it? i thought theyre marketing it as the sub phatty+. the sub phatty solved the interface issues of earlier models to some degree, but i didnt notice any difference in the sound enough between little ph and subph to grab me
and i havent seen a sub37.

Moog Sub 37 all the way - it will be a better sounding synth to my style and my ears like Moog filters. I love the Korg stuff - and own a lot of Korg - but this time Moog gets my dollars.

I don't think you can say that without hearing both. I have never seen an odyssey but since this I have been looking them up and I don't think there is anything else like it. Hopefully funds will stretch when it drops. I don't have anything to sell either, all keepers.
