Roland jp50, king korg or nord lead 4?

Postby Antudd » Thu Jul 10, 2014 12:35 pm

Hi!

Im going to buy a new synthesizer.

Im not very experienced in this because ive played a lot of acoustic piano and fender rhodes.

I want a good analogue synth, to make my own personal sounds. But I also want to use sampled ones (only synth sounds)

Im playing mostly jazz and fusion. But I also play some rock and pop in a cover band.

Well. The boards i think would fit me well are Roland jupiter 50, the king korg or a nord lead 4.

What do you think? (Sorry for my bad english, im from Sweden.)

well, all three are VAs, not analog.

The JP50 can do acoustic sounds as well.

Making your own sound can be done with any sound generator that has parameters. Be it analogue, virtual analogue, samples, physical modelling, additive, FM, neural nets, whatever.

Anno 2014, it's important to state what your end goal would be. Try not to fill in the means already, cause many roads lead to Rome.
