It's so easy to be inspired by this very blue-sounding synth. Here's something I just finished, to learn how to use it in the best way I know (make some mooozik):

thanks for the heads-up, this should be fun. however I'm really just waiting for an iOS Wavestation, which I think seems the most obvious legacy instrument for the iPad's touch control

I agree, it's all about the wavestation.
nice track, btw.

I remember asking Dave Smith about the emulation (KORG Legacy) and he didn't care and wasn't feeling it.

lolz.
I own the Legacy joint with the MIDI controller so an iPad app isn't all that interesting. That said, I would probably purchase the CELL or Wavestation if KORG created an multi-unit app.
I don't like the idea that each one seems to be made available separately- slowly over time.
C'mon KORG, don't milk the cow. Release them ALL and make the bundle now.

Of couse they have to milk the cow
one app with all the synths will be "to expensive" but a low price for every synth it's much better because
the buyer don't spend a lot of cash in one time, he/she can buy according the wallet size and preference and at the end probably will have all the apps.
The next will be the Wavestation followed by the M1 and the PS3200 and the Monopoly and the DW-x000 :-P

@ Ned: great track! :) Did you also sequence it within the app?

Personally I think Korg's next release should be the iElectribe SX, with some new expanded features.

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

@ Hugo, no, I used Logic + io Dock. While I like the sound and the interface, a few things bug me about this version 1.0:

- no MIDI sync for the arp
- no MIDI control of the drum parts
- no MIDI control of the various parameters/knobs
- can't figure out how to control 2 iPolys at the same time
- the manual is just 'meh'

Clearly, Korg wants you to do everything in the box. Not my style, though.

Just downloaded and wasted a good deal of time when I should be working just messing with it. I mainly want to be able to toggle between several very simple sequences for live Berlin School style electro. And this is what I really wanted iMS20 to be.

I heard a rumor saying that Korg is preparing a Android version.
That will be great because I had a Asus Transformer 101.

Looks like I have the answer to a couple of MIDI-related questions I had (thanks to Martin Lüders @ KvR):

The 2nd synth is controlled by MIDI channel 2, and each of the drum parts gets channels 3-8. Good news! 8-)
