USB to MIDI cable for iOS

Postby redchapterjubilee » Fri Mar 22, 2013 10:00 pm

Quick question. I recently bought a camera connector for my iPad/iPhone and I'm preparing to find something to go from USB to MIDI with it. I have a Lexicon Lambda interface I normally use (it has MIDI i/o plus mic pres and such) and that seems like overkill. I'm wondering if just any old USB to MIDI cable will work with the camera connector. Anyone have experience with this?

The e-mu xmidi series (2x2) and xmidi tab both work well for me and i have read the alesis ones do too and even some reports of the cheap generics found on amazon .

The old midiman uno will not however .

So any of the cheaper stuff might be a crap shoot. I might still try it though.
