Battery for Yamaha DMP11

Postby bionary » Tue Jul 24, 2012 2:41 am

Does anyone know where I can get a battery for a Yamaha DMP11? I think the model number is CR2032FH MFR. Thanks.

A CR2032 is a widely available battery, it's used in cameras, watches and alarm clocks most commonly. Bring the old one to any electrical shop, supermarket, discount store and you'll see it. Avoid jewellers and camera shops, they tend to overcharge for them.

IIRC, the battery IS a CR2032, but with welded on leads. Needs to be unsoldered from the board.

Try Mouser electronics http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Ren ... 252bIUg%3d

or

Syntaur.com. http://www.syntaur.com/4311.html

D'oh! I should've checked that it's soldered.

I've a DMP7D here that I recently stopped using as an effects unit. I made samples of it and put it in storage. Still using the mic pre unit, and I sold the memory cart for unexpectedly silly money. Yamaha stuff is so well made it can be hard to retire it when it becomes outdated.
