Customise repaint Hardware Synths

Postby rob_lee » Sun Sep 30, 2012 12:56 pm

Hi there,

Just joined here today so first off hello all. What i'm looking to do is have my Novation Nova and Roland SH-32 re painted after seeing some great images here: Images
Iv'e tried emailing the sales as given on their website but it seems dead as my emails are returned. Anyways i'm hoping to get these 2 synths re-done in the near future along with some rack gear as i'm pretty much impressed by the work of this company.

Nice to be here.

Thanks

Rob

It's been a few years since I've emailed Jeff @ CustomSynth, but I did get replies. If I was in the UK, I would not hesitate to use his services, but being in the US, the additional costs of shipping back and forth across the Atlantic drives the price up more than I want to spend.

Hopefully, you will get a reply soon.

I'm in the UK so i suppose shipping costs will be ok for me.

I booted up my laptop from 2007 and found the email correspsondence. The email he was using at that time was j.toman@btinternet.com - not sure if that is still current.

I'm in line to get an Akai AX-80 faceplate restored by www.synthspa.com. He posts on Ebay alot and is in the USA.
When we reach an agreement on price, I'll post that. And, when the work is done, I'll post pix and a review.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product mate.

Seems i can't get in touch with this guy right now BUT i see he's active on Soundcloud so i'll send him a message there.
Just picked up a couple of sound modules last night on Ebay too.. one of them could do with a face lift although the Roland MVS-1 comes looking as new with original box and manuals (1 owner) so now i have 2 of those. The MDC-1 i ordered looks battered but i'll have that fixed soon.

Cheers

Update:

Jeff and i had a nice chat last night. My emails must have been going to spam or something. Anyways i'll be having my Novation Nova 2 XL Keyboard - D-Station - A-Station (when purchased tonight) and my new unopened delivered today Novation Ultra Nova sent to be customised. All will come back white with a touch of the Novation blue.
Looking forward to the next few months will post the results on the forum in a few months.

Cheers for all the advice here.
