S2000 is both deeper and heavier than an S612... sounds better too for most stuff but the S612 is FAR easier to use.

What have you been smoking? The S-612 is the best sounding sampler I have ever heard. Especially when paired with an AX-60.

no sampler sounds as warm by itself than the S-612, at least from my experience. And its dirt cheap!

"Best sounding" is subjective, one person's idea of best can be totally different to anothers. And the 612 isn't as cheap as the 2000.

You serious? since when did the S612 exceed the price of an S2000? Thats a first to me

I bought mine for 65 dollars with the MD280 drive, which doesn't work, but still, for what it does, its well worth the money if your looking for that dirty 12 bit sound.

Yes,I'm serious.S612's have been rising in price, while S2000's are decreasing in price. In Britain, anyway.I suppose the S612 has reached "classic" status and the S2000 is just out of date.

Ghezz! Man, no wonder people have had beef with it then. I would never pay 150 for it, well then again, I would for its unique punchy sound.

I need to buy that MPC60 I saw for 350!

Yeah, the prices for these are gettin kind of dumb... around $100 it seems lately...

HOWEVER, I got mine recently for $50 off da 'bay with the drive (which only seems to read, not write-thankfully the dude gave me a $20 refund, so I guess I got it all for $30 :) )

I've seen others go for that much lately too, so it's just a case of holding out...
Do you even post on vse bro?
