Mellotron M5000

Postby OB-XaMinimoog » Sat Apr 13, 2013 6:26 am

I'm a huge fan of the Mellotron, its probably my favorite keyboard instrument. I've seen recently that Streetly is making a new model called the M4000 thats much improved and has a cycling system with 24 sounds. But I also read of another one they're making called the M5000 which is a dual manual version. Searching on the internet, though, I found no pictures of it. I'd really like to see what this beast looks like. I'm not sure if it'd be more like the giant Mark V or the Mark II. The Mark V is probably my favorite of all Mellotrons, it just looks awesome.

I know I'll probably never own a Mellotron, unless I get rich

As soon as I posted this, I thought why don't I email Streetly or one of their distributors themselves. DUH!!! :?

But then I don't know if I wanna bug them just for some pictures. I don't even know if the M5000 is available yet. Its not on their site. Though their site still says C 2009, and I think on some other site says it is.

Screw it, they make/sell expensive Mellotrons. They can't be THAT busy :P
