Crumar Performer

Postby pb-audio » Mon Jun 15, 2009 5:19 pm

hi all, my first post so please treat me qently.

i have a crumar performer, that i am trying to overhaul just now.

it has a couple of issues, and i am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

when the brass section, is switched off....and the sustain circuit is engaged...on the strings, the noise level jumps up, (im guessing here) by say 6-9 db, i have checked this using the separate outputs, it makes no difference.

if the brass is engaged, with the strings, the sustain circuit, is taken out, and the noise goes.

i have studied the schemo's which available from here.

i still cant see it, in my minds eye.

i am fortunate enough to have a few spares for this, i have swapped the brass and string boards, and the problem remains, so i am fairly confident, the problem is elsewhere.

the other issue, is more of a wish, than a problem, i would like to be able to inject a clock signal to sync the LFO speed to the (ARP out on a kenton pro 2), via a switched jack socket. is this possible and if so how?

any help would be much appreciated.

thx pb
