Akai AX60 Voice Failure

Postby redchapterjubilee » Sat Oct 17, 2009 6:30 pm

We had a power outage yesterday that took out one of the voice cards in the AX60. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable that voice so I can have five that work? Or is it like the Junos and I'm stuck? Also, would any old CEM 3394 chips in the AX60 and the Sequential Six Trak fit in one of these? Just wondering if anyone's got any experience with this.

No way to disable it and there are no "cards" in the AX60. If it is in fact the 3394, any 3394 will work

OK. Here's another question. How can you tell which CEM has failed? It is the 5th voice (every 5th note). Do the voices in the AX60 fire from left to right?
