Akai AX80 problem

Postby GoldSpanner » Fri May 17, 2013 1:07 am

I came back to it after a couple of weeks to find that the patches don't work properly.

The bar display when selecting a patch from bank A or B has sections missing, and the sounds themselves don't work properly.

The factory presets work fine.

Is this in need of a new battery??

Any help would be appreciated!

Sometimes they act weird because the jumpers between the pcbs need resoldered. Worth checking if you do the battery.

I had this problem also, and it was not the battery or board problems, it was just memory locations that had some corruption. I just selected the patch and resaved it again and the bar graphs are fine now, with no missing segments

Gear: too much to list, it tells me only 150 characters, that is not enough

I HAVE noticed the corrupt patches have actually been accepting abnormal parameter values! I mean, I have been able to use values the normal operating system wouldn't normally allow. A glitch. I haven't tried to save a patch this way, thinking it wasn't reliable to do so...but now oh how I must try. I never really thought about it until now.
