Korg Polysix P11 line on Scope...[SOLVED]

Postby cutoffres » Mon Aug 05, 2013 5:07 pm

Hi,
originals symptoms :
Polysix become crazy when using OCTAVE or SUB OSC or EFFECT or ATTENUATOR.

After repairing original 367 Board without success.
Then I have replaced the original 367 by a well built 367 Clone.
Symptoms are the same...
So it could be a problem external from KLM367 :
i scoped the P11 line and it looks strange as there are only small pulse that module only +- 2 V in staid of a clear LOW 0V to HIGH 4,5V.
I've checked other area of the P11 line and found 2 Bad diodes D12 D11on KLM-370. repalcing them has result with a better signal on P11 but still strange and the synth has still the same fault.

I have 3 questions :
1) Can you help me by Scoping P11 line on your working Polysix (pin 28 on the IC22 CPU) and let me know if you've got a nice LOW and HIGH ?
2)as the 8048 CPU is the only one part that is original on my KLM-367 Clone could i have found a very rare partially working/Unworking cpu ?
3) Could i have forgot other aera on the P11 line that are faulty and that are external from klm367 clone ? Or the faulty diode that i have found could have damaged the CPU only on the P11 line ?

Thanks for your help

Just find the solution:
ic5 socket on KLM371 was not well soldered.
Now it is fully working.

"become crazy" was : Always stuck on B2. And cpu always reset when using OCTAVE , EFFECT , ATTENUATOR.
Thanks Rhino.
