Reloading Korg Triton sounds via MIDI/SYSEX?

Postby Pentatomic » Sat Jun 28, 2014 2:09 pm

Hi all,
I recently attempted to restore my Korg Triton Classic to it's default settings, but somehow erased most of the patches in the process. Some sounds remain but many are gone, including my Vintage Archives and Future Loop Construction expansion cards.

I've read a few places that it's possible to reload these sounds with a midi cable from a computer using sysex, but I have no idea how to do it. I have a M-Audio MidiSport Uno that I think could work if I had the right instruction. I've looked on the Korg forum, but it's a bit dead over there. The other places I've looked have hinted to how to do this but haven't thoroughly explained. At least, not in a way a simpleton like me can understand.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.
