Roland S 760 Digital Noise

Postby micahjonhughes » Wed Aug 27, 2014 3:38 pm

I hear static and a pitch that changes with the sample rate selected on the sampling inputs of my S 760. Unfortunately this noise is sampled along with the input. This makes my S 760 useless as a sampler.

My guess is that this noise is coming from the A/D converter. Anyone have any idea or theory on how this problem might be fixed? Perhaps someone has a copy of the service manual or schematic?

ANY help greatly appreciated.

Try the basics - open it up and check voltages and reseat cables and press on any socketed chips. See if that helps.

Thanks!

I've checked out all of the basics. All checked out fine.

Anyone know how to enter into test mode?
