JP-8000 supersaw bass arpeggio.

Postby Lemonpop » Thu Nov 09, 2006 12:27 pm

As the tilte says, it's a short clip of JP-8000 supersaw bass arpeggio. It's not speciall though. :)
http://vvs.x-y.net/images/kaj2k59.mp3

It's actually an intro from the song, 'Kajantip' by Arrival, a Russian electro pop duo.

Keyboards and Computers?

Postby La Penguin! » Wed Nov 15, 2006 9:51 pm

This last summer, I was visiting a buddy of mine in Denver and he mentioned that his friend's band had a gig. So we checked it out and I was blown away. Not by his friend's metal band, but by the band that played before them. They were an all-synth punk rock band called Keyboards and Computers. Their songs were far from complex, but what turned me on more was the concept behind the band. I havent seen an all synth rock band for 15 years, I thought they were extinct. Anyways, it was three guys: a drummer playing on a Roland kit, one synth player playing a Yamaha DX-100, and another synth player rocking a Juno. I coulnd't tell if the Juno was a 60 or 106. But anyways, it's pretty good stuff, check it:

If anyone has heard of this band and happens to have their songs on a CD, let me know.

100% MC505

Postby Vibes » Sat Jan 06, 2007 10:53 pm

I have recorded that twicked MC505 pattern with my minidisc. It's 100% MC505 and nothing else, did it in Libya last week while I was bored in my hotel room. It's a very boring and bizarre track but it gives a good idea of MC505 sounds.

Sherman Filterbank 2 overdriving a Stratocaster electric guitar. Transistor distortion in all it's naked glory
recorded thru Layla20 direct with no fx, eq or processing.
4 minutes: fuzzy chords w/ LFO modulation, then a little more crunch, some clean, then a LOT more crunch + LFO mod into audio range, and finally some Black Sabbath.
