New Industrial Track

Postby Architecture » Sat Jul 21, 2007 1:18 am

This will be my third track that I have done any vocals for my new concept album Enigma. The whole track was done with Rebirth and Reason rewired together.

I think I need to bring up the piano a bit, and it sounds a little muddy on my K240S headphones.

the new track is captivated?

i rather like it... sort of Ramnstein meets Coil... no idea what the vocals are going on about though... it sounds very nazi-ish and scary

I like it when it breaks out at 1:00 ("Captivated"). Vocals need some effects amd to be buried a little; they are sitting on top of the mix. Voice is better in "Are you recording this". I think I hear some FLA influence in the first track and some Ministry and Controlled Bleeding in others.

rewire- Ironically, the influences I had for Are you Recording this stem from Venetian Snares and Speed Ranch. It was also the first track I did any vocals for.

Captivated i took inspiration from the more contemporary EBM artists such as FLA, Panzer AG, and Flesh Field. Its also I would say my most accessable track. I have heard that I need to both raise and lower the vocals for the track Captivated. What fx's do I need for the voice?

This track is available for remixing if you want to mess around with it.

Its funny, everyone mentions Ministry, but I never have listened to them. I get my inspiration from Skinny Puppy for this style of vocal treatment.

Purity Control - its a song about a genetically modified human breaking free from captivity. which is a chapter in my concept album im working on.

The lyrics are as follows
Locked in a cage no view of civilization
I plot my grandest scheme of escape

My powers activate
my strength is muliplying
my muscle tissue hardening
I pry these bars with my hands

I rejoice the new found freedom that I have been given
there still something in my head that says im still a slave
his presence haunting me enduring the torture
but what the man doesn't know today he will be extinguished

I can't stop you I can't stop myself
These powers overtaking me you opened pandoras box showing no respect
you show regret after damage is done
you say you can fix it but you know you can't

save yourself escape from this
Dr Death doesn't value you your just his pong, nothing more!

Finally, I been set free there nothing that can stop me
Your end is near brace yourselves
the change is coming you can't stop it
you made it
look into my eyes we used to be the same
now separated by these scars of humankind
