Postby molson » Thu Jul 24, 2014 6:01 pm

For anyone interested here is a full demo of all 54 preset rhythm pattern on the Korg KR Mini Drum Machine.

Audio was recorded direct at 24bit/44.1k through a Steinberg MR816X into Logic Pro X and dithered down to 16bit before being combined with the video.

I'm curious what you do with this machine. There's no MIDI, right?
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Right, there is no midi, and even more frustratingly, no bpm readout of any sort. I currently use it as a metronome of sorts, instead of a straight ahead click. Just for solo rehearsal of different instruments at this point, but may use it as a quick and more interesting metronome for recording as well. It has to footswitch inputs which can be used to stop and start patterns and cycle patterns I believe. I think it is sort of meant for solo artist that want to add some simple percussion on the cheap to live shows.
