Just picked up an ES-1

Postby Architecture » Thu Nov 30, 2006 2:36 am

Well, my initial impressions of the unit seem to be really promising. Having a dedicated Drum Machine sampler is something that i have needed in my set up for quite some time.

Im already dreaming up kits made with my S-612 and AX-60. Making Drum sounds out of the AX-60 would be absolutely wild.

If im successful, I will be posting the kit online for free.

Look forward to the kit. Been wantin an Es-1 for a while for myself. Just wish they'd have made it with a compact flash slot instead of expensive smartmedia.

i bought an es-1 a while ago. its a good little machine, and i really like the step sequencer on it. its fun and easy to work with, and it sounds good enough for my drum needs. enjoy it!

Hey Hematurge: Im REALLY digging your stuff here on myspace. I never knew you could get the DR 202 to sound soo, industrial. Im sure its not all DR-202, but man, Im hooked on your stuff.

Born 1980 reminds me of SPK in a huge way.

Thanks alot man. All that stuff was done with software. Maybe a couple mangled up loops from the 202 in there. I mostly used it as an idea pad to get stuff down while I was away from the computer. The majority of what's on there was done in FL Studio 5 if I remember correctly. I've moved on to Reason 3 now. I'm trying to raise the funds get some hardware together. I wanna take the music making process away from the computer a bit. Hence the wanting of an ES-1 or ESX even.
