One more time...
This time justastudio decided to tweak some "old" friends of ours: Novation Drum+Bass station (rack).

The Novation Bass Station was tracked through Joe Meek ThreeQ and Novation Drumstation tracked through RNC1773, recorded using TC konnekt8 and edited in Cubase.

These two machines are awesome! Why? Price, use and sound. Its fairly cheap, you get additional connections for your vintage equipment and if you just tweak it a bit differently

Nice! First time I've got a chance to hear both the drum and bass station. Its a shame they are no longer in production.

The video with the 2880, 503, and Kaoss Pad is good too.

I run the snare channel of my Vermona DRM1 directly through a ThreeQ and then into the mixer. Its perfect, the pre amp, compression, eq, and output gain(I believe the signal flow is in that order) work well together for tons of tonal/dynamic possibilities. I highly recommend it for anolog drum machines, snares specifically. I like it so much, I'd love to get some more Joemeek channel strips to dedicate to the rest of my DRM1.

Yea the rabbit is cool, nice headphone holder :D

Thanks...
We made it because there were so few youtube videos involving these two beasts :)

Hehehe, so you like justasession no.2.
My friend is more or less doing noise/experimental stuff only.

I dont think I understand?

The ThreeQ is awesome for mono synths and drum machines :)
I've tested it on vocal and guitar aswell, but that sounded too harsh in my ears.

Rabbit :D
It's a snake imported from hungary (Solipse 1999).

Uhhh, Vermona DRM1... I would like to try one of those beasts :)
Maybe we should start collecting them when we are done with our MFB collection ;)

Well, I do the live tweaking on the Novation machines.
I just programmed some simple drum+bass and made a little track - no external controller used.
This means I send midi out from soundcard to BassStation (thru) and the Novation DrumStation (in).

Rabbit or snake? Who cares :D

Stay tuned for our next video...

so it IS cubase that's CONTROLLING the novations... even if you're tweaking them manually, something's telling them what the hell to play!

ah, to be fair. theres "hands on" control, and theres sequencing.

(its electronic music, you trigger the sequence and tweek the sound)

ah ok, sequencing, controlling, rabbits, snakes, regardless - i was just curious from the get-go if it was cubase or some other app or a piece of hardware running the show.
