Korg Poly800 AC Adaptor or Batteries??

Postby leonidspaul » Fri Oct 17, 2008 9:15 am

Hi, i just picked up a Korg Poly 800 and was wondering if it's better to use the AC adaptor with the batteries. Someone said the batteries could explode while having it plugged in at the same time. Is that true? Thanks. Paul

I had a Poly800 for a few years. I always kept batteries in it while it was plugged in. There were no explosions or other problems in doing this.

Thanks, that's reassuring. Why did you get rid of it if ye don't mind me asking?

I don't know. I got a DX7 and was really impressed. Really dumb.

It's the only piece of gear I ever regret getting rid of. I recently got a juno-106 in a trade to replace it. Ironically, the friend from whom I got the juno just got a poly-800.
