moog liberation without the module

Postby solder » Thu Dec 11, 2008 6:48 pm

Hi guys,

I just scored a white moog liberation, but it doesn't have the extra module. Can this synth work without the module? What is the exact function of that module?

cheers

The module is the synth part.

I think it's the other way around. The module is just the power supply and circuit to interface with other synthesizers.(S-trig out and pitch CV out). And the audio out jack. Study the schematic and it should be easy to make a suitable power supply without the Moog one. Just need the pin out from the connector, and supply it with the proper voltages, you should be good to go. The Liberation has all the synth on board the controller.

Oh, that's cool. I always heard it the other way, but this way is more encouraging.
