I had a used DRM1 briefly late 2008, but had to send it back to the seller becasue some of the channels were not panning correctly. I really enjoyed the synth, but did not have too much time to really explore it. I plan to buy another one when great deal presents itself. From what I remember, the kick was fair, but no match for my TR-808, 909 or SDSV, but that's not what I want the DRM1. I am looking for unique sounds to fill in the gaps that the classic machines lack, which the DRM1 does nicely.
In case you missed it, here's my DRM1 video:
I thought the quality was decent. But this wideget does not have the stereo sound, so you'll have to click on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmCcchTPdQY&fmt=18
if you want to hear it in stereo.
