Roland D550 sysex bulk load

Postby blairb » Tue Jun 16, 2009 6:53 pm

The internal battery died in my d550. I've replaced it but now need to restore patches etc. from my mac OS 10.5. I downloaded SysEx Librarian and files but I am unable to get D550 to accept sysEx bulk load. Ive tried the steps in the manual and those for kidnepro. Im using a midiman 2x2 interface with updated driver. Doing a oneway dump and have tried setting interface to midi through. I have also set up D550 to bulkloadO and reduced the baud rate. Any ideas greatly appreciated- :(

Read the following thread; I'd bet the answer is in there.

I finally got it to load by lowering the transfer speed, using bulk loadO and holding down the shift button on the D550 when pressing enter the second time. Also had to turn off write protection under the tune menu as well as in the MIDI menu. Thanks for the help! :D
