Yamaha CS80 problem

Postby Fairlightcmix » Tue Nov 17, 2009 12:12 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on my CS80.

Everytime I activate voice 2, it sounds like the cutoff and resonance is turned down? All the other voices are fine.
The problem is on both voices (channel 1 and 2)

Anyone encountered this problem before, and maybe know a solution?

If it's on both channels I doubt it would be the voice card. Channel 1 is using one voice board and channel 2 is using another. Both the Brilliance and resonance sliders next to the mix slider go to R51 and R52..

Hfinn is right. The voice boards are fine. But I think that the problem must be before the R51+R52 board....
Maybe it's just a trimmer somewhere that needs to be looked at.

I've just looked at the KCB1 and 2 boards that contains some CMOS IC's, so I'm gonna replace these with new ones, just to be safe.
