Casio FZ-1 or Akai X7000

Postby vroomfondle » Thu Jan 07, 2010 12:37 pm

I am looking to buy a keyboard sampler in order to compliment the MPC I'm already using to produce hip-hop, and have narrowed it down to either the Casio FZ-1 or the Akai X7000. Both are available to me for under 100 Euro.

I would like to know:

Which one sounds better? (For reference I love the sound of the MPC and am looking for a dirty sound)

Would I be able to record directly from a turntable and then sample that recording without having to use the disk drives on both?

Does the Akai X7000 have a synthesizer as well?

Which one you would recommend in general?

Thanks, and feel free to ask any questions.

the FZ-1 is a lot technically better than the X7000. and if you're looking for something to compliment your MPC you should get something that sounds different. My vote goes to the FZ-1.
