ARP Quartet VS Sequential Prelude VS Siel Orchestra

Postby rharris07 » Wed Feb 17, 2010 2:44 am

I am kinda interested in these three ugly pieces of gear, but they seemingly do the same things for the most part - anyone perfer one over the other? anyone had both and have some experiences they could share about the two? i know the orchestra and quartet are identical almost...but i'm sure there has to be a small difference in function and sound, right?

thanks!

the quartet is definitely a repackaged orchestra.

check out this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6F3Hy5H7KQ for a comparison of the orchestra II and the prelude. i made my purchase decision pretty much on just this video. i went with a prelude! the output seems to be hotter and the sustain a bit sweeter. i am actually still waiting on delivery of the prelude, so i haven't played it myself yet! (come ooooon fedex!)

hope this helps!
