Roland SR-JV80-05 World Expansion card for JV series

Postby iphoenix » Sat Jan 15, 2011 4:51 am

Opinions of the Roland SR-JV80-05 World Expansion card for JV XV XP series please.

Im thinking of picking up an Emu Planet Earth, but I was wondering if the Roland World card would be comparable in basic waveform data / sounds ?

I have a JV1080. The Planet Earth is difficult to find & is usually @ 5 times more expensive , is it really worth the extra cash over the Roland World card ?
(Just for the sounds, leaving aside the 'superbeats 'modes' & arpeggiators & patch cord & modulation facilities on the Emu, which are desirable indeed)

I have the Asia card and I love it. I've never tried a Planet Earth, so I can't help you in that regard.
