Korg EMX-1 : http://www.vintagesynth.com/korg/emx1.php

Korg ESX-1 : http://www.vintagesynth.com/korg/esx1.php

Apart from the differences noted on the above 2 pages, one is blue and the other is red.

The ESX-1 is better if you want to use samples. Both are great synths for 'Electro House' so you probably need both.

ESX-1e is a sampler, EMX is a one oscillator VA with a set of rom samples. Both are focused on the live perfomance and are very easy to use.

Remember we are humans, not a robot/search engine.. you ask a search engine an annyoing question it gives you the answer. You ask the human an annoying question is gets annoyed.

You know, that's kind of arrogant. I was just reading this old thread, and saw this and I thought, christ what a prat. Since everything that is in VSE can be found elsewhere on the Internet, then by your logic VSE itself can be erased and we don't need you at all. By your logic. And your avatar disgusts me for some reason.

This actually isn't a bad shootout. DJ just jumped the gun asking about the difference between these 2 synths when he should have done his own homework first. It would've taken less time than posting here on the forum and waiting for someone to regurgitate (or save time and provide a link of) what's already written in the synth section. Dude, you're just a click or two away from the answers that you seek. Maybe put a little more effort into it...But he is also asking for personal opinions, in which a simple google search will probably come up short. You're better off scrolling down to the bottom of the synth review and reading the comments from members right here on VSE...which I feel is what tallow really meant by his comment. Use the search bar.

Fail to do that and the responses you'll get on VSE will sound soup nazi-ish. Yeah you can get your delicious soup with free bread thrown in...but only if you ask for it the right way. Otherwise, "No soup for you!" Food for thought.

To be fair to TS, he also asked about opinions from VSE members which "cannot" be found on google.
