Any Future Retro Orb/Revolution Users?

Postby truckasaurus » Tue Jun 14, 2011 6:57 am

I can't figure out how to play patterns backwards on the Orb. The specs state that it's possible but I can't find where it's covered in the manual. Am I overlooking something obvious?

Any help would be appreciated.

Press the play button while holding shift/clear.

If you do it while a pattern is playing it will reverse after the current pattern reaches its end.

Thats on my Orb by the way, I'm not sure if the Revolution is the same...

same scenario on both.

edit:
page 13 of the revo manual wrote:Patterns can also be played in reverse or backwards. If the unit is stopped and you wish to play a pattern backwards, hold the Shift/Clear key and then press the Play key. The pattern will now be playing backwards. To stop the sequencer, press the Play key.
While a pattern is playing you can change its direction to play forward or backwards by using the same technique as above. Hold the Shift/Clear key and then press the Play key. When the loop point for the pattern currently playing is reached, the sequencer will change the playback direction.

Thanks. I figured I had just stupidly overlooked it in the manual.
