Anyone own Moog Rogue serial number 3289 ?

Postby jaypodesta » Thu Aug 04, 2011 9:40 pm

I owned it almost 30 years ago and bizarrely found the original box for it in the attic. Be good to know where it is at...

Reminds me of the Prophet 600 that I bought new in 1983, which I saved up for a year to get. I traded it away when moving overseas a few years later. Cleaning out my mom's house last month I found its box in the attic. There was a little part of me that fantasized the synth was still in there. Where are you, O synth?

I think (what I'm reading as your intent, at least) is rather admirable. Good on ya' for trying to locate it's contents and create a happy Rogue reuion of sorts. :D

Unless I'm totally reading OP wrong, I thought through the magic of happenstance he was gonna offer it for free.

This could start a new trend...vintage boxes. Guitarists will already pay ridiculous amounts for a period-correct case to match their vintage guitar, so why not?

Maybe it was the virgin cardboard that made the old synths sound so good ;)
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

We all know vintage boxes, with their discreet components like staples, are much warmer than these modern glued ones.

This box raises an interesting question:
What exactly happens if you stack Moog Rogues 8 high? :ugeek:

Pretty much...

Maybe if the postage was super high - a little financial help would be appreciated.
But a free reuniting would be the plan.

Hopefully it is still in the UK, and ideally in London.

Wouldn't want it all getting bashed up in the post. :D

They collapse upon themselves to form the Moog Tesseract, with oscillators oscillating across N-dimensions. Unfortunately, you will need to pick up a copy of the Necronomicon in the original Arabic to learn how to SEE it, much less program it.
