I have an Mbase 01. From what I can tell the standard edition of the Xbase 999 uses the same pots as the Mbase 01. They're adequate, but I'd prefer more durability.
If anyone has a JoMoX XBase-09, has it held up through the years?
I've got the 999 -- actually, serial number 001. The first. While not the 'producer edition' (I wasn't even aware there was such a model) it's withstood many hours of work, and the pots have no wobble to them at all.
I also had an XBase-09 w few years back, and i *did* have quite a bit of looseness in a couple of the pots. Still worked, no problems there, but they were noticeably loose from side-to-side. It held its own -- but since I bought the XBase-09 used, it came "pre-mangled" -- that is, some of the knobs were a bit dodgy -- so I can't attest to what the previous owner did to it.
I also have a few other items from Jomox, that have all withstood lots of work. Now I'm not the type to hammer on my knobs and get forceful, but the 999, for sure has given me no problems. The T-Resonator also has no issues that you speak of.
