Aalto on sale!

Postby Stab Frenzy » Sun Dec 23, 2012 6:00 am

Madrona Labs Aalto is on sale at the moment for only $66, I'd recommend picking it up if you use software synths. It's an interestingly different kind of synth in that it's based more around the west coast way of doing things than your average east coast subtractive. The most important thing is that it sounds really good of course, and it does. I just bought it, for $66 it's a must-have!

Gaaaaaah.... You're making it really hard to ignore this.

The last thing I need is another soft synth, but I'm trying the demo and it does seem really cool.

*sigh* I'll go get my wallet...

I'm in the market for a couple of decent quality softsynths so I'll check the demo. I'm also looking at Zebra and Dark Zebra...

Mind you I'm starting to see ads for minibrute, only £384... choices choices!

I bought it about a year ago. It's very interesting but harder to get your head around than the usual subtractive synth. Every patch I've created to date has been an accident ;)
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Thanks for posting this! I have to say I downloaded a demo for this synth and it is absolutely wonderful. One of the most unique soft-synths I've ever used. Its very very aesthetically pleasing, and the GUI is exeptional. Very easy to dive right into.

I don't own the full product and I'm saddened to have missed the sale - but I still aim to buy the full version in the near future.

I had given up on softsynths and got back into Hardware synths these past couple of years, but I recently heard about Aalto (while researching their Soundplane controller) and heard the demo, saw the sale, and it was a no brainer. A truly beautiful soft synth. Really loving it!
