Vermona synthesizer

Postby guenii » Mon Feb 04, 2013 10:42 am

Hi, guys!

Maybe someone could help me out a bit.. I got this Vermona synth
(http://www.vintagesynth.com/misc/vermona.php)
couple of days ago from one of my friend... It still works, sounds interesting, but my question is "does it have clean piano sound"? And since it's monophonic - it means that you can play only one note at a time?

If I want to sell it, how much I can get for it?

Thanks in advance for answering...

An acoustic piano? No, not really - but since it's a synthesizer, you can probably coax a passable e-piano (as in a Rhodes/Wurli) type sound out of it.

And since it's monophonic - it means that you can play only one note at a time?

Yes. Which of course decreases its usability as far as piano-type applications go, but you should be able to get some bass & lead sounds from it. No idea about its worth - while it's somewhat rare, I don't think these command very high prices.

My first synth. Bought it for like 100 zlotys, which would make 25 dollars then.
Great transistor ladder 24 dB/oct filter. Keyboard a very unreliable but easy to fix. Also, very noisy.

An easter egg of this synth is that you can combine the radio-type switches so you can get 8 "oscillarors", and waveform mixing.

Hi, I like the sound of this mod. I have this synth, can you, or anyone tell me how to do this radio switch mod? Cheers, Marc...

Doesn't sound like a mod, just that it glitches a bit if you leave the oscillator switches in a certain position between positions or something.
