It's the second synth I ever got, after an MC-202, and although its not got that much range I really like the sound. Especially alongside the six-trak.
Which Duran Duran tracks did it feature on?
Does anyone know if it was used on any other notable recordings, I'm guessing maybe some italian prog or soundtrack work?
It's on almost every duran song from the first 3 albums. Most noticable on the first album of course, but on Rio and 'Tiger you can often hear it on the last chorus of each song adding some boost to the sound. Great little machine and they ARE worth something!! They can go for upto £300 on ebay UK in good condition as they don't come up very often and lots of Duran synth fans want them.
And it is most definitely part of the signature Duran sound, remove those strings from the songs and they would lose a lot of their identity even when subtly mixed in.
Glad I got one when I did before they rise further.
