Pretty big news. I guess the Sub Phatty is selling well then?

Wow. This surprises me. I wonder if they are planning a new model to replace it.
Switches, knobs, buttons, LEDs, LCD screens, monitors, keys, mice, jacks, sockets. Now two joysticks!

My thoughts too. Let's hope they are not in trouble.

I'm hoping they're focusing their efforts on something new and jaw-dropping.

next is a poly,

everyone has been asking for it and they said they wouldn't make another until they stabilized the oscillator design which the did on sub phatty so maybe it's time?

I've been hearing that type of speculation from a lot of the new gear sales people I talk to

Whatever Moog does do next, I really hope they pick a better name than "Phatty".

Since it´s possible to chain Slim Phattys, a dedicated polysynth would make sense by now. They already have the voiceboards, so discontinuing the LPs would relief the production line and logistics, I guess. But they´d have to add a few extras such as effects or whatever to make it more legit, so ppl wouldn´t go "oh it´s just 6 phattys in a kbd meh"...

Whatever they do, it's a sad end of an era. Little Phatty was Bob's last synth, and with it's passing, so ends the last remaining link to his genius, (besides the Voyager).

And how many believe that the Phatty was "Bob Moog's final design?"

Watch on youtube.com

i liked how the designer referenced the source. ive recently come to think of the phatty as a source with 4x the control....
