Which usb audio interface to use with ext fx?

Postby implant » Wed Dec 11, 2013 2:59 pm

Hello everyone,

I need a usb interface that has flexible routing to send tracks to external effects racks and record the results back in. Just trying to make sure I can isolate the signal to hear the effecting properly no looping back into itself. I have been looking at steinbergs UR28M but am open to suggestions. Setting up my win7 pro PC and will be using abelton live

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Any interface with more than two outputs can do that. Have output 1-2 connected to the speakers, use output 3 to go to your effect and then record the output of the effect as you would any other source. Which interface you choose depends on your budget, input requirements etc.
