Korg Trident mkII problems (need service manual)

Postby JohnnyFiction » Mon Dec 09, 2013 10:34 pm

Does anyone have a full copy of the Korg Trident mkII service manual? I've found a few copies floating around but none of them are complete. I'd really like to find a copy with the parts listing and adjustment procedures.

My Trident was in storage for a couple years, set it up and it blew the 3 amp fuses. I have the Trident running through a load lamp, the patch buttons are are all lit up and don't respond. The other controls (strings, ext.) seem to respond. I checked the power supply and I'm seeing 13v and 4.3v. If I disconnect all the output connectors from the power supply the voltages are normal 15v & 5v. If I disconnect either the +15v or +5v I get normal output. IF I disconnect the power supply connector from either the 378a, 379b, or 380a, I get normal voltages.

I started testing the KLM-380a and I replaced all the electrolytic caps but noticed a discrepancy between my board and the manual. The service manuals I've seen show a 10/50v at C27 and mine had a 10/16v. Anyway, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. That's the same manual I have, it's missing the parts listing and the adjustment procedures.

PM'd re manual. Was the battery replaced pre-leakage? This destroys MKII's ala polysix

The battery was changed a few years ago and the PCB looks to be in good shape.
