Nice choice! I didn't go for the keys due to space, but the Blofeld will not disappoint you.

If I had an extra $1000 smackers (with additional cash coming in) I would definitely start a eurorack. $1000 is enough to start the foundation with the critical elements, and then I could just get the modules to link up to my current setup.

Save it and wait for the new Elektron offering due out in a few short days.

Barring that, more voltage sources and utility modules. And I think my Waves update plan is coming due. Fuck. :?

Correction: First I bought Silikon's Multimoog, THEN I bought a Blofeld. Going to be broke until next Friday, but totally worth it.

Maybe a Prophet 600. A little over 2 years ago, on Ebay, I was the 2nd highest bidder on a 600, that went for a little over $600.. I was out bid by about $10 or so. It was probably for the best, because at the time, I couldn't really afford to be paying the 600+ dollars for it. Which, of course, helped out the winning bidder..

I'd probably try to snag a 6 voice Ambika, or maybe a Mopho x4.

for some reason i am totally enamored with the idea of getting a tt 303
like, i remember reading about the tb-303 in some magazine in the 90s and thinking, wow, aint that somethin
i mean
i dont even like acid that much**** but as the fat boy sez, everbuddy needs one. and pluggin it up to the mono/polyd sure be a hoot, i reckon
it just seems nifty and cool and 'hey thats almost affordable compared to a real one' plus i been wantin a battery powered synth and the mutate seems really cool and godddammit i should stop typing before i chase myself out to pick one up!
and uh, thats about seven so, another script dyna comp for stereophony and whatever cool pops up on craigslist for a hundred, and the change on patchcords

****the music i mean, come on, now!

I've seen completed items on eBay for even less! The Kronos is notoriously 'buggy' in some. Early reports with problems include sustain (software), key beds Rh3, loud fans and suspect build (knobs falling off, cracks in chassis). None of this I knew of when I bought the Kronos. Heck, I wasn't in the market for one, but felt at that price, I could flip it if I didn't like it. I had the software issues, but updating the OS seemed to fix it. The other ones mentioned, I didn't have although the fan noise kind of bugs me so I'm replacing it with a 'silent' one (on order). If the fan noise still bothers me, I'll sell it.

My point being is that there's a lot of second hand ones coming to the market. Asides from the keybed issues usually found on the 73s and the 88s, most issues can be fixed with OS updates, and some people have replaced the fan with quieter ones. So keep an eye out an know what to look for when buying 2nd hand and you too might find a good deal on a Kronos.
