Difference Between Komplete and Kontakt

Postby pmh » Mon Mar 24, 2014 12:36 am

I had a quick look at Kontakt today, and was quite impressed.

On looking on the NI website I noticed they did instrument packs and also offered free player versions of the above.

Not having used this before, will the instruments play on both players, or are they specific to one? It is not easy to ascertain this from the website, not that I have spotted anyway. :D

Kind regards,

Phil

Pushers? Kontakt is an instrument, Komplete is a suite of multiple instruments which includes Kontakt. This is pretty clearly stated on the NI website.

Yeah, the Komplete is a bundle of all their other software synths, most of them are "recreations" of old analog classics, and are their own programs. Kontakt is more of a sample playback thing.
