[Happy Hardcore] Eternally (rough mpc mix)

Postby LoopStar » Sun Mar 23, 2014 1:32 pm

Hey everybody!

here's a small little happy hardcore tune I've finished last week:

Drum Sounds: Korg EMX-1
Bass Synth / Swoosh-FX: Minibrute
Acid-Line: Minibrute+Doepfer Wasp Filter
Pads/ Bell Synth: Virus Ti
Vox: me :D
Amen Break: the Winstons ;)

Basically I've recorded the sound first into Ableton Live and put the elements together in the MPC 2500. The longer sounds like the pads or the acid line are complete loops. The bell sound, bass, drums are single notes played by the mpc to get this cheap characteristic 90's sample sound. Please enjoy & don't take this tune too seriously. :)

This is quite charming! I really like the vocals. Good work.

Thanks a lot fopr your reply! Actually the vocals were the hardest part to do. Not the words but to find a nice melody. In the process of writing the tune I've rewritten it five or six times! And with pitching the tune down, singing in the new melody, pitching the tune up again, the whole work on the vocals got a bit frustrating and tedious sometimes. Especially since I'm not that great as a singer, so I had to repeat this process quite a few times. :D Thus it's great to hear that all the work has paid off! Thank you! :)
