Native Instruments has recently unveiled their standalone production and performance instrument, called MASCHINE+. According to them, it offers users the workflow and the sounds without any need for a computer. In essence, MASCHINE+ is a sampler, as well as a drum machine and a synth. It was designed to free users from the shackles of a laptop while being able to create beats and jam with your other gear.

With MASCHINE+ users have access to an entire production environment, from first ideas to finished tracks. From dialing in effects to sampling audio or creating your own, everything was designed to be as intuitive as possible. While it allows you to step away from your computer and DAW, it's still possible to copy your ideas over and pick up where you left off using the MASCHINE software. You can even connect it to your computer and use it as a classic MASCHINE controller. Even better, it's Wi-Fi enabled, which is not just great for installing new sounds, instruments, and effects, but also to connect to DAWs and compatible gear with Ableton Link.

MASCHINE+ doesn't just come with its classic groovebox workflow, but also a dedicated package of nine synths and sampled instruments. In addition, it has 35 effects along with seven Expansions that can work seamlessly in standalone mode. Native Instruments has an ever-expanding catalog of Expansions, so getting access to new sounds is as easy as downloading them to MASCHINE+.

Native Instruments have also revealed what's under the hood of MASCHINE+ and the specifications show that it has a quad-core processor, 4GB dual channel DDR3L Ram, and 32GB internal eMMC flash storage. It also features 2 color displays with a resolution of 480 x 272 and comes with a 64 GB SD card.

For more information check out the MASCHINE+ walkthrough video by Native Instruments which demonstrates what users can expect. The official website also features more specifications (https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/maschine/production-systems/maschine-plus/specifications/). The price on the Native Instruments website is listed as $1,399.00 and it is available for pre-order with the release date set for October 1, 2020.
