Multimoog Image

The Multimoog was the big brother to the Micromoog. It's a classic monophonic synth that features 2 oscillators, a ribbon controller, variable waveforms, flexible sample and hold, LFO, aftertouch (for pitch, VCF, or LFO rate) and a great sounding 24dB Moog filter. Like the Micromoog, the Multimoog was designed to be a cheaper alternative to the Minimoog. It is used by Underworld.

Hey - i got one of these about a month ago, but it's not really my type of thing. It needs some work (the keys aren't working right at all, and the base is loose. So how much do you think I could get for it?

Also not mentioned, is that it had a VARIABLE waveshape. When dialed "in-between" square and saw, for example, you could get sounds that you couldn't get anywhere else, even when mixing waveforms. Sold mine a few years ago right before the "analog and Vintage" gold rush.

I just learned from Roger Dumas, keyboardist in the band Lipps Inc, that all the synth sounds used in Funkytown came from a Multimoog.

Pretty sure this synth was used to produce that "reedy sounding" synth lead solo on the Steve Winwood classic, "While You See a Chance" (1980). Sounds like Pulse waves using PWM and filter mods to produce the classic phasing effect.
