Roland D-20

The D-20 makes a great budget or alternative D-50. It's more closely related to the D-10 and D-110 synthesizers but adds an 8-voice sequencer with a rhythm track. The D-20 is a digital synth that employs linear arithmetic synthesis (LAS). It's a confusing synthesis / editing method composed of tones, partials and timbres. Basically it all boils down to tricky programming which, if you know what your doing, can have interesting and unique results. Reverb effects and internal / external memory storage are also available on the D-20. Definitely worth a listen.

I'm fairly new to the D-20 and I'm just now gettng back into playing after a good 20 year break. Something od I'm running ito is when I have the D-20 hooked up to he computer I'm only getting a Monophonic signal. Everything I'm readng sayd the D-20 should default to Midi Mode 3 Polyphonic. I was wondering if anyone else has run into this and if there was an easy fix for it. I apologize if this is something that should be very easy to figure out, like I said I'm just now getting back into it and I'm fairly sure I should be able to play a chord through midi to the computer.
